My Testimony…
Missionary Testimony
I was born and raised in Southern California, unfortunately in a broken home. I never knew my mother and father together, as my childhood was filled with struggles and custody battles. Anger and confusion were a constant part of my life, along with loneliness and fear.
At this point in my life I was living with my father and all the while God moved miraculously. He saved my mother, and she began to pray for me.
Over time, God started working on my heart. As a junior in high school, through a series of events and steps of obedience, I had an encounter with Jesus in my bedroom that forever changed me. I developed a hunger for righteousness, a confidence I had never known before, and a sense of belonging. For the first time, I felt like I mattered. I believe it was in that moment I was born again and adopted into the family of God.
Not long after, I moved from Southern California to Arizona, where I met my future wife at the front doors of a church. On that very day, I came to the altar and declared my life to belong to Christ forever. We served at that church for 16 years, where I was discipled and grew in my faith and service. This is also was where I realized I had a special gift of evangelism.
God began to stir in my heart a dream: to take risks, step out in faith, and trust Him in the unknown. Through several steps of obedience, we found ourselves serving in Thailand— a place where less than one percent of the population is Christian. Our ministry there has been incredibly fruitful, and that is why, 12 years later, we are still faithfully serving in Thailand.
